Pride: The Unbreakable Truth

Dear Black people, We are not inferior. We are not savages. We are not uneducated. We are not untalented. We are not slaves. We don’t need saving. We don’t need their twisted religion. We don’t need their oppressive government, systems or laws.

This powerful assertion is the very foundation of Pride. It's the unwavering knowledge of our inherent worth, passed down through generations who refused to be defined by their oppressors. For too long, narratives have been forced upon us, attempting to strip away our dignity and diminish our contributions. But truth endures.

Our history is a testament to our genius, our resilience, and our capacity for extraordinary creation. We built nations. We cultivated cultures. We invented, innovated, and led. Even through immense struggle, our spirit remained unbroken, our faith unwavering, and our demand for justice unyielding. This isn't just history; it's the bedrock of who we are.

History confirms our inherent greatness. As far back as the ancient Greeks, scholars acknowledged the Black race's preeminence in civilization, intellectual qualities, and even outward appearance. To deny this is to ignore notorious historical facts.

This historical validation underscores our inherent truth. At Self-Built Legacy Foundations, we fully embrace this power. We aren't here to be saved; we are here to build. We recognize the incredible wealth of talent, intellect, and spirit that already exists within the Black community. Our mission is built on this very pride—to amplify our existing strengths, leverage our collective power, and reclaim our narrative, brick by self-built brick.

This mission is a celebration of our past, a commitment to our present, and a powerful blueprint for our future. It's about building economic independence, fostering community-led revitalization, and cultivating our own power, ensuring that our Significance is defined by us, for us.

For anyone who has ever doubted their worth, or had their identity challenged, remember: Our pride is our power. It is the fuel for our ascent.

What we are is greatness, what we are is culture, what we are is black, what we are is beautiful, what we are is pride and most importantly what we are is what GOD made us.
