"Our approach to fostering holistic well-being and eliminating poverty in the Black community is rooted in empowerment, self-determination, and the cultivation of independent power. We move beyond traditional models by:
* Building a Robust Economic Foundation: We strategically create, invest in and support Black-owned businesses, promote entrepreneurship, drive wage growth, and increase financial literacy and homeownership, creating pathways to economic stability and wealth accumulation within the community.
* Ensuring Access to Essential Resources: We work to guarantee equitable access to quality healthcare, education, digital literacy, nutritious food, and affordable childcare, providing the fundamental building blocks for individual and community thriving.
* Empowering Community-Led Revitalization: We act as a catalyst and resource hub, supporting community-based organizations and local leaders in their efforts to revitalize Black neighborhoods, preserve cultural heritage, and build resilient spaces that reflect the community's vision and strength.
* Cultivating Independent Power for Systemic Transformation: We strategically invest in building the Black community's independent economic and political power through supporting Black-owned financial institutions and media, promoting strategic legal action, empowering community organizing and direct action, and investing in leadership development to dismantle systemic barriers and create lasting equity on our own terms.
